Meet Sibu & Bavu
Father and son. One from the summit of Everest. One from the African bush. Together, they bring both worlds to you.
Sibusiso Vilane grew up herding cattle in rural Swaziland. In 2003 he became the first Black African to summit Mount Everest. Then he did it again, via the more difficult North Ridge. He went on to complete the Seven Summits and walk to both Poles. Explorer's Grand Slam. The complete record.
Bavukile Vilane was raised in the southern African bush. He is FGASA-qualified, an entrepreneur, and a safari operator who knows the land the way his father knows the mountain. He built the infrastructure that makes extraordinary expeditions possible. He leads from the ground up.
Together, they offer something no one else does: the vertical world of the summit and the horizontal world of the African wilderness, led by the two people who were born to both.

“On Top of the world”
South African former President Nelson Mandela greeted Sibusiso Vilane, the first Black person to summit Mount Everest, in June 2003. Mandela said he was “on top of the world” after their meeting at his Johannesburg home. An encounter between two men who changed what South Africa thought was possible.
